Pay: SVQ Level 2 qualified: £14.06 weekdays | £15.06 evenings after 6pm and weekends
Non-SVQ: £13.80 weekdays | £14.80 evenings after 6pm and weekends
Contracts: Flexible full-time and part-time contracts available

Crossroads Cares (Perth & Kinross) is a local, values-based charity providing high-quality care and support to people across Perth & Kinross, helping individuals remain connected to their families, their communities and the things that matter to them.

We are looking for caring, dependable and motivated people who share our values and want to join a team committed to providing respectful, person-centred care.

Whether you are an experienced care worker or considering care as a new career, we would be pleased to hear from you. Previous care experience is not essential – we provide full training, ongoing support and, where required, funded study towards SVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care.

As our care is provided in people’s homes across the community, you will need a full UK driving licence and access to a car for work.

What you will do

As a Home Care Worker with Crossroads Cares (Perth & Kinross), you will provide person-centred care and support in people’s own homes and communities.

You will:

•  Support people with personal care and daily routines
•  Help people take part in activities and remain connected to their community
•  Build positive and respectful relationships with the people you support and their families
•  Communicate effectively with relatives, colleagues and other professionals
•  Work independently in the community while being part of a supportive wider team
•  Deliver care safely, professionally and with respect for each person’s dignity, choices and independence

The people we support include older people, children, people with physical disabilities and people with additional support needs.

You do not need previous care experience.

Essential requirements

You must:

•  Hold a full UK driving licence
•  Have access to a car with appropriate business insurance for work
•  Have the right to work in the UK
•  Be able to communicate effectively in English for care delivery and record-keeping
