Overview

Set in beautiful countryside near Tarporley, this well-regarded hotel and events venue welcomes hotel guests, diners and event visitors alike. The front of house team is friendly, professional and takes real pride in the service it delivers across the bar, restaurant and function spaces.

We are now looking for a General Assistant to join the team. With self-contained en-suite live-in accommodation available, this is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to relocate and build a career in hospitality.

The Role

This is a hands-on front of house role with a strong focus on bar service, restaurant service and guest interaction across the property. You will support breakfast, lunch, dinner and event service, working closely with the wider hotel team to make sure every guest enjoys a positive experience.

Key Responsibilities

Assisting with the day-to-day running of the bar and restaurant.

Delivering professional and friendly customer service at all times.

Taking food and drink orders and serving guests efficiently.

Preparing and maintaining bar areas throughout service.

Supporting breakfast, lunch, dinner and event service when required.

Setting up and clearing restaurant and function areas.

Handling guest enquiries and ensuring a positive customer experience.

Maintaining cleanliness and presentation standards throughout front of house areas.

Working closely with the wider hotel team to ensure smooth daily operations.

Key Requirements

Previous experience in hospitality, bar, restaurant or front of house operations preferred.

Strong communication and customer service skills.

A positive attitude and a willingness to learn.

Able to work well under pressure in a busy environment.

A flexible approach to shifts, including evenings and weekends.

A smart and professional appearance.

A team player with a strong work ethic.
