I'm currently recruiting for 2 Housing Assistants to join the Service Charges Team of a large and well-established Housing Association. This is a highly flexible opportunity offering hybrid working, with the role being predominantly home-based and only requiring occasional office attendance in Leicester.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to take their first step into the social housing sector, with no previous housing experience required. If you have a background in administration, customer service or office support and enjoy helping customers while working in a fast-paced environment, this could be the ideal role for you.

The Role As a Housing Assistant within the Service Charges Team, you'll play a key role in supporting both customers and colleagues by delivering high-quality administrative and customer service support. You'll be responsible for responding to a range of tenant enquiries, ensuring information is updated accurately and helping the team provide an efficient service.

Key responsibilities of a Housing Assistant include:
  • Responding to tenant and resident enquiries via telephone and email in a professional and timely manner.
  • Providing information and guidance relating to service charges and escalating more complex queries where required.
  • Updating and maintaining internal housing management systems, ensuring records are accurate and up to date.
  • Supporting the Service Charges Team with a range of administrative duties, including processing documentation, managing correspondence and maintaining accurate records.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues across the business to ensure customer enquiries are resolved efficiently.
  • Delivering excellent customer service while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
We're looking for candidates who have:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong administration and organisational skills.
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Good IT skills, including experience using Microsoft Office and internal systems.
  • A positive, proactive and customer-focused approach.
  • The ability to manage a busy workload and prioritise tasks effectively.
No previous housing experience is necessary—full training and support will be provided, making this a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to start a career within social housing.
