Are you looking to use your housing expertise to shape the next generation of housing professionals? Our client is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Housing Trainer to support learners in developing the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to succeed in their careers.

What You’ll Do:

Your typical day could begin with planning and delivering engaging learning sessions for apprentices through classroom, online or workplace-based delivery. You will provide one-to-one coaching, review learner progress, provide feedback and support apprentices to achieve their learning goals.

You will also contribute to developing learning resources, preparing learners for End Point Assessment (EPA), and working collaboratively with managers to create meaningful workplace learning opportunities.

As a Housing Trainer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality Housing apprenticeship programmes, supporting learners to develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to succeed in their roles and progress within their careers.

Managing a caseload of approximately 40 apprentices, you will provide teaching, coaching, assessment and tailored support to maximise learner engagement, achievement and progression.

You will play a key role in improving learner experience, attendance, retention and outcomes while contributing to the quality of education, safeguarding culture, curriculum delivery and continuous improvement activities.

Whether you are an experienced trainer, assessor or coach, or currently working within housing and looking to move into learning and development, our client will support your professional development, including funding a Level 5 Learning & Skills Teacher Apprenticeship where required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, design and deliver engaging Housing apprenticeship learning programmes.
  • Deliver classroom, online and workplace-based teaching, coaching and assessment.
  • Manage a caseload of approximately 40 apprentices, providing tailored support.
  • Conduct progress reviews, tutorials and one-to-one coaching sessions.
  • Create and update lesson plans, learning resources and assessment materials.
  • Use initial assessments, learner feedback and progress data to personalise learning.
  • Support apprentices to develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours required for success.
  • Prepare learners for gateway, End Point Assessment (EPA), examinations and qualifications.
  • Monitor learner attendance, progress, engagement and achievement.
  • Identify learners at risk and implement effective support interventions.
  • Set SMART targets and maintain accurate individual learning plans.
  • Provide timely, accurate assessment feedback and progress records.
  • Maintain apprenticeship documentation to meet funding, audit and quality requirements.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities, including standardisation, moderation and reviews.
  • Work collaboratively with employers, managers and internal teams to support learner success.
  • Promote safeguarding, Prevent, equality, diversity, inclusion and learner wellbeing.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of housing, apprenticeship standards and relevant legislation.
  • Contribute to curriculum improvement, quality assurance and inspection readiness.

About You / Essential Experience:

  • Significant vocational experience within Housing and Property Management.
  • Ability to deliver engaging, industry-relevant learning up to Level 5.
  • Experience of teaching, coaching, mentoring, assessing or supporting learners.
  • Ability to motivate and support apprentices from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong communication, organisational and IT skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with learners, employers and colleagues.
  • Experience managing workloads, competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to use data and feedback to improve learner outcomes.
  • Knowledge of apprenticeship quality requirements and learner progress monitoring.
  • Understanding of safeguarding, Prevent, GDPR and confidentiality.
  • Teaching qualification or willingness to work towards a Level 5 Learning and Skills Teacher qualification.
  • Level 2 qualification in English and Maths or willingness to achieve this.

This role requires an enhanced DBS check.
