Do you like working in fast paced environments? My client within the Food Manufacturing industry are currently going through some growth through acquisitions. They are looking to recruit an HR Administrator to support them across their sites in the UK, based at their Head Office in Barnstaple. My client is will to allow candidates to work either 8-4 or 9-5, 35 hours per week. Salary £28-£31k dependant on experience.
About the Role
This is a varied HR role supporting employees and managers across the Group. You'll help keep our HR processes running smoothly while supporting recruitment, payroll, employee relations, training and HR projects. You'll also have the opportunity to help improve our processes and employee experience as the business continues to grow.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting managers with employee relations, attendance and general HR queries.
- Providing advice on HR policies, procedures and terms and conditions of employment.
- Maintaining accurate employee records, HR databases and the Time & Attendance system.
- Supporting payroll activities and ensuring information is accurate and submitted on time.
- Supporting recruitment, including job descriptions, interviews and candidate administration.
- Organising and supporting staff training and development.
- Producing regular HR reports and providing accurate HR data for management and audits.
- Ensuring HR processes comply with UK employment legislation and company policies.
- Supporting HR projects, employee engagement and retention initiatives.
- Providing HR support across different areas of the Group and covering for the HR team when required.
- Identifying opportunities to improve HR processes and the employee experience.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in a similar HR role, with Payroll experience being desirable
- Good knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practice.
- Excellent Excel and administration skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and people skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage deadlines and prioritise workload.
- A positive “can-do” attitude and ability to work well under pressure.
- Flexible approach and willingness to support different areas of the business.
- CIPD qualification or working towards one is desirable.
