HR Advisor (Part-Time)
Location: Onsite | Doncaster
Hours: 25 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 9:30am–2:30pm
Salary: £20,000 per annum
Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be working with a growing business in Doncaster who are looking to appoint a HR Advisor on a part-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR professional who enjoys a varied role combining HR advisory support, employee relations, HR administration and some payroll responsibilities.
The business is experiencing significant growth, so attention to detail, a proactive approach and the ability to build strong relationships across the organisation will be key to success.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day HR advice and support to managers and employees across a range of HR matters.
- Support with employee relations processes including absence, performance, conduct and disciplinary matters.
- Assist with recruitment, onboarding and new starter processes.
- Complete pre-employment and compliance checks, including right to work and driving licence checks where required.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records across HR and payroll systems.
- Support with monthly payroll administration, ensuring employee information, timesheets, absences and changes are accurately recorded.
- Assist with payroll queries and liaise with relevant internal stakeholders to resolve issues.
- Prepare HR documentation including contracts, letters and employee correspondence.
- Maintain personnel files and ensure HR documentation is compliant and up to date.
- Support with company policies, procedures and HR processes.
- Assist with absence management and maintain accurate records.
- Provide guidance to employees and managers on HR processes and policies.
- Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and introduce more efficient ways of working.
- Maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive employee and payroll information.
- Provide general HR support to the wider business as required.
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience in an HR Advisor, HR Officer or similar HR role.
- Good understanding of generalist HR and employee relations processes.
- Experience supporting or administering payroll is desirable.
- Strong knowledge of HR administration and employment processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Experience using HR or payroll systems is desirable.
- Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Excellent organisation and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build effective relationships with employees and managers at all levels.
- Able to work independently, prioritise workload and take ownership of tasks.
- Trustworthy and able to handle confidential information with discretion.
- A proactive approach with a genuine interest in improving HR processes.
We're looking for someone who can act as a trusted HR point of contact within a growing business.
You'll be confident providing day-to-day HR support, comfortable dealing with employee queries and able to assist managers with HR processes, while also being happy to get involved with payroll and administration when required.
