Monday – Friday / 8:30am – 5pm / Flexibility required

Our client based in Wrexham area is looking to recruit a HR Advisor on a permanent basis.  This role will report to the HR Manager but be part of a team supporting the whole business.  The role will be involved in supporting Managers and employees through the full life cycle of an employee as a member of the HR Team.  The role will ensure compliance with UK employment law, manage employee relations and foster a positive workplace environment by providing guidance and support to Managers. 

Performance Objectives

Employee Relations

  • Provide guidance and support to employees and managers on employee relations issues, including disciplinary actions, grievances, and conflict resolution.
  • Coach and support managers to conduct effective investigations and support the implementation of solutions to employee relations issues.
  • Monitor Absence levels and provide support to Managers when undertaking Absence Management Reviews to Disciplinary level.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies in all ER matters.
  • Advise management on legal implications of HR issues.

 Recruitment and Onboarding

  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, from job posting to candidate selection and onboarding.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand employment needs and develop job descriptions.
  • Conduct interviews, reference checks, and coordinate onboarding activities for new employees.

 Training and Development

  • Assist in the creation of career development plans and succession planning initiatives.
  • Support performance management processes, including appraisals and development plans.

 HR Administration

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR databases.
  • Prepare HR reports and metrics for management review.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.

 Compensation and Benefits:

  • Provide support in the administration of compensation and benefits programs.
  • Address employee queries regarding payroll, benefits, and other HR-related matters.
  • Work with the Head of HR to complete salary benchmarking and market analysis.

HR Projects and Initiatives

  • Contribute to HR projects and initiatives aimed at improving workplace efficiency and employee satisfaction.
  • Support change management processes and promote a culture of continuous improvement.

Compliance and Legal

  • Stay updated with changes in employment law and HR best practices.
  • Ensure the company’s HR practices comply with relevant legislation and regulations.

Person Specification

  • Ideally, qualified to CIPD Level 5
  • Proven experience in an HR advisory role, with a minimum of 2 years in a similar role Comprehensive knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficient in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Full driving licence and flexibility to be able to travel to different sites and support all shifts.
  • Proactive and results-oriented with a positive attitude.
