HR Advisor (FTC to December 2026)

Are you an experienced HR Advisor who enjoys building relationships, solving people challenges and making a genuine impact across a business?

We are partnering with a successful and growing organisation to appoint an HR Advisor on a fixed term contract through to December 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands on HR professional to join a busy People team and play a key role during an exciting period of growth and change.

This is a varied generalist position requiring strong employee relations expertise, alongside involvement in recruitment, HR administration, people projects, employee engagement and training initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with managers and employees across the organisation, providing practical and commercially focused HR support.

The Opportunity

Working as part of a collaborative HR team, you will:

  • Provide professional HR advice and guidance to managers across a broad range of people matters.
  • Manage employee relations cases including disciplinaries, grievances, absence, capability and performance management.
  • Coach and support managers to build confidence and capability in people management.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding and offboarding activities.
  • Assist with HR administration and maintain accurate employee records and HR systems.
  • Produce HR documentation, reports and management information.
  • Support employee engagement, wellbeing and people focused initiatives.
  • Contribute to training activities and help ensure compliance and development programmes are effectively managed.
  • Play an active role in continuous improvement projects across the People function.

About You

We are keen to hear from HR professionals who enjoy operating in a fast paced environment and are happy to roll up their sleeves when required.

You will ideally have:

  • At least 2 to 3 years' experience in an HR Advisor or generalist HR role.
  • Strong and up to date knowledge of UK employment law.
  • Proven employee relations experience managing cases from start to finish.
  • Experience coaching and influencing managers at different levels.
  • Strong relationship building and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience using HR systems and maintaining accurate people data.
  • A practical, resilient and solutions focused approach.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent experience.
