HR Generalist in Twickenham, London

Adecco are recruiting for a HR Generalist for a Local Authority.

• £24.62 per hour PAYE or £32.17 per hour Umbrella
• Locations: Twickenham or Wandsworth
• Working Arrangements: Hybrid Working, 3 days per week in the office
• Contract: 3 Month Temporary Assignment (Likely Extension)

Adecco are recruiting on behalf of our Local Authority client for two HR Generalists to join their team on a temporary basis.

As part of an ongoing organisational transformation programme, the HR team requires additional support to help manage day-to-day HR operations and relieve pressure on the Transformation Business Partners. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced HR professionals who can quickly integrate into a busy environment and make an immediate impact.

The Role

We are seeking proactive and adaptable HR Generalists who can hit the ground running and provide broad HR support across a variety of activities. You will work across the employee lifecycle, supporting managers and stakeholders with operational HR matters while ensuring a high standard of service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing generalist HR advice and guidance to managers and employees
• Supporting employee relations matters, including absence, performance and disciplinary processes
• Assisting with recruitment, onboarding and workforce administration
• Supporting organisational change and transformation activities
• Managing HR cases and ensuring accurate documentation
• Maintaining employee records and HR systems
• Working collaboratively across HR and transformation teams
• Responding to a variety of operational HR queries and priorities

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience in a broad HR Generalist position
• Strong understanding of HR policies, procedures and employment legislation
• Experience managing a varied workload in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• The ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• A flexible and proactive approach
• Experience supporting change or transformation programmes is desirable
