Job Title:            HR & Learning Advisor
Type:                    FTC until Mar 2027
Location:           Bristol
Salary:                £38,802 per annum (pro rata'd)
Hours:                 37 hours
 
BRC are working exclusively with a leading organisation to recruit an experienced HR & Learning Advisor to join their People team on a fixed-term basis until March 2027.
 
This role involves providing a proactive, professional and people-focused HR service to managers and colleagues across the organisation. The position combines HR business partnering with learning and development, supporting colleagues to develop their skills and fulfil their potential.
 
Duties:
  • Provide professional HR advice and support to managers and colleagues.
  • Build effective relationships with managers and Executive Team members.
  • Advise and coach managers on sickness absence, wellbeing, performance, conduct, capability and employee relations.
  • Provide advice on recruitment, workforce planning, succession planning, reward and benefits, policies and employment legislation.
  • Support the delivery of the People Strategy, HR plans, EDI and wellbeing initiatives.
  • Lead and support colleague engagement initiatives.
  • Design, develop and deliver engaging learning and development programmes.
  • Create bespoke learning resources, including workshops, guides, toolkits and digital content.
  • Identify organisational and individual learning and development needs.
  • Support talent development, career progression and succession planning.
  • Lead and contribute to HR and cross-functional projects.
  • Develop and improve colleague induction and onboarding programmes.
 
Requirements:
  • CIPD Level 5 or equivalent experience.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation.
  • Proven experience providing HR advice and guidance within a business partnering environment.
  • Experience supporting and coaching managers with employee relations matters.
  • Experience of disciplinary and grievance procedures.
  • Experience of managing HR projects and delivering change.
  • Experience in learning and development, including designing and delivering learning programmes.
  • Strong communication, influencing and coaching skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage and prioritise workload.
  • Strong IT and Microsoft Excel skills.
  • A proactive, self-motivated and solutions-focused approach.
  • A keen eye for detail and the ability to work effectively with colleagues at all levels.
