HSE Advisor – Remote / Site-Based Travel

Our Client is looking to appoint an experienced HSE Advisor to support its portfolio of complex remediation, earthworks, heavy civil and regeneration projects across the UK.

This is a home-based position with regular travel to operational sites, working closely with project teams to maintain the highest standards of health, safety and environmental performance.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide practical HSE guidance to operational and project teams.
  • Undertake regular site inspections, audits and compliance reviews.
  • Support the development and review of RAMS, construction phase plans and project-specific HSE documentation.
  • Investigate incidents, near misses and unsafe conditions, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
  • Deliver toolbox talks, briefings and workforce engagement initiatives.
  • Monitor compliance with company procedures and current UK legislation.
  • Support project teams working across demolition, remediation, earthworks and heavy civil engineering.
  • Assist with environmental compliance, reporting and continuous improvement.
  • Liaise with clients, subcontractors and external stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent.
  • Previous HSE experience within demolition, remediation, earthworks or civil engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of CDM Regulations and construction-related legislation.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.
  • The ability to work independently across multiple projects.
  • A full UK driving licence.
  • Membership of IOSH would be advantageous.
