Health & Safety Manager – Data Centre Project

Brent Cross, North London | 18-Month Contract

A leading Groundworks & Civil Engineering Contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Health & Safety Manager to oversee all health & safety activities on a flagship £130m Data Centre project in Brent Cross.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of London's major infrastructure projects, working closely with the site management team to ensure the highest standards of health, safety and compliance are maintained throughout the project.

Responsibilities:

• Lead all Health & Safety activities across the Groundworks & Civils package.
• Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks and daily safety briefings.
• Carry out regular site inspections, audits and safety tours.
• Ensure all works are carried out in line with current legislation and company procedures.
• Monitor RAMS, permits to work and safe systems of work.
• Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses, producing reports and implementing corrective actions.
• Promote a positive safety culture across the project.
• Work closely with Site Managers, Engineers and Supervisors to drive continual improvement.
• Ensure subcontractors comply with all Health & Safety requirements.
• Maintain accurate Health & Safety records and documentation.
• Liaise with the client and external bodies during inspections and audits.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Health & Safety Manager on major Groundworks, Civil Engineering or Infrastructure projects.
• Experience working on large-scale construction projects such as Data Centres, Highways, Rail or Industrial developments would be highly advantageous.
• NEBOSH Construction Certificate (or equivalent) - Essential.
• IOSH Managing Safely - Essential.
• SMSTS - Essential.
• CSCS Card - Essential.
• Excellent communication skills with the confidence to challenge unsafe behaviours and drive best practice.
