Are you a passionate Humanities Teacher looking for an exciting opportunity to inspire young people? We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed teacher to join a welcoming secondary school, delivering Health & Social Care and History across Key Stages 3, 4 and, where appropriate, Key Stage 5.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious teacher who is passionate about developing students' curiosity, critical thinking and understanding of both historical events and contemporary health and social issues.
The Role
- Teach engaging and inspiring History and Health & Social Care lessons to students of varying abilities.
- Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that promote excellent progress and outcomes.
- Assess, monitor and report on student achievement, providing timely and constructive feedback.
- Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all learners, including those with SEND and EAL.
- Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment that encourages participation and achievement.
- Contribute to curriculum development and departmental initiatives.
- Participate fully in the wider life of the school, including enrichment activities, parents' evenings and school events.
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Has experience teaching History and/or Health & Social Care within a secondary school setting.
- Demonstrates excellent subject knowledge and a passion for Humanities education.
- Has strong classroom management skills and the ability to motivate and inspire students.
- Is committed to raising attainment and ensuring every student reaches their potential.
- Possesses excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Is a reflective practitioner with a collaborative approach to working within a successful department.
