About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced HV Electrician to join their growing delivery team, working on utility-scale renewable energy and electrical infrastructure projects across England and Wales.

This role combines electrical installation, maintenance and fault-finding responsibilities across both LV and HV systems. You will support the delivery of Solar PV, BESS and electrical infrastructure projects, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out electrical installation works in accordance with project specifications and engineering drawings.
• Perform planned preventative maintenance, inspections and corrective repairs on LV and HV electrical systems.
• Diagnose faults and implement effective solutions to minimise downtime and project delays.
• Test and inspect electrical systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics and technical documentation. 
• Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety legislation, procedures and site requirements.
• Maintain accurate service records, testing documentation and maintenance reports. 
• Liaise with Project Managers, Site Managers and wider project teams to support project delivery. 
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to Electrician Mates and junior team members.
• Support site supervision activities when required, including contractor coordination and team leadership.

Requirements:

• Level 2 or Level 3 City & Guilds Electrical Installation or Electrical Engineering qualification.
• ECS JIB Gold Card.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations. 
• IOSH Managing Safely or SSSTS. 
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Minimum 3 years' experience within Utility Scale Solar PV, BESS, electrical construction or O&M environments. 
• Experience carrying out LV/HV maintenance and fault finding activities. 
• Good understanding of central and string inverters. 
• Strong knowledge of electrical drawings, schematics and earthing systems.

Please Note:This role involves travel to sites across England and Wales. All business-related travel expenses are covered, and flexibility to work away from home when required is essential.
