Salary and package: £40,000 – £50,000 per annum, plus enhanced overtime rates and company van
Location: Mobile role, ideally based around Horsham, Dorking or Guildford or other within 1 hour of.

About the company
An established air conditioning contractor is looking for an HVAC / Air Conditioning Engineer with experience in installation, servicing and maintenance.
The company has over 30 years in the industry, working with commercial and residential customers. Most work covers Surrey and West Sussex, with occasional London projects (2x per month).
The HVAC / Air Conditioning Engineer will join a small, supportive team whose project managers started on the tools and understand the work involved.

Central London travel is limited, typically around two visits in some months and none in others. Office visits are arranged as needed to collect equipment or materials and catch up with the team.
About the role
The HVAC / Air Conditioning Engineer will:

Service, maintain and repair commercial and residential air conditioning systems.

Install equipment, working independently or alongside another engineer.

Work on DX splits, VRF systems, chillers and specialist cooling systems from different manufacturers.

Diagnose faults using practical servicing skills and electrical knowledge.

Explain findings and repairs clearly to customers and complete service records.
Most work is within the usual coverage area, although occasional travel further afield may be required.
Candidate background
-
Experience in air conditioning servicing, maintenance and installation.
-
F-Gas qualification.
-
Good electrical knowledge and fault-finding skills.
-
Able to work independently and with other engineers.
-
Clear communication and a tidy, professional approach to work.
A relevant City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2 qualification is preferred. PASMA, First Aid and wider building services experience would be useful.
