Premier Work Support are working with a specialist shipping company based in Basildon who are looking to recruit a permanent Import Co-ordinator.

As the Import Co-ordinator you will be responsible for providing operational and administrative support to the existing US Import department.

This role would suit someone with some experience of import & export procedures looking to progress and take ownership and responsibility and develop their skill set.

You will be an enthusiastic creative free thinker who is willing to become involved in our clients focused operation.

Duties will include:

  • Co-ordinating with other team members based in UK & USA offices to arrange container unloading and final deliveries of goods arriving into the USA depot.
  • Checking customs entries & shipment data to ensure data is accurate prior to clearance.
  • Sending Pre alerts to final destinations. Job processing, costing and invoicing. Other ad hoc tasks as required.

Key skills required:

  • Experience in Freight Forwarding (Sea Freight)
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, and other MS programs including Teams.
  • Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience with USA region is preferred but not essential

Hours are Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm.
