Contract Type: Long-term contract with the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate
Salary: £170 - £260 per day (depending on experience)
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Inclusion Teacher to join a specialist provision in Salisbury from September. This is an excellent opportunity for an educator who is passionate about supporting young people with additional needs and making a meaningful difference to their educational journey.

The role will involve working with secondary-aged students with a range of special educational needs, with a particular focus on supporting learners with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needsand Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC). You will help create a safe, structured, and engaging learning environment where students can build confidence, develop independence, and achieve positive outcomes.

Working within a highly supportive multidisciplinary team, you will adapt learning to meet individual needs while promoting both academic progress and personal development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Delivering engaging and differentiated learning to secondary-aged students with additional needs.
  • Supporting students with SEMH and Autism to access learning and achieve their individual targets.
  • Creating a calm, nurturing, and structured learning environment.
  • Developing positive relationships that support student confidence, wellbeing, and engagement.
  • Implementing personalised strategies to support behaviour regulation and emotional resilience.
  • Working closely with SEN professionals, therapists, pastoral teams, and families.
  • Contributing to EHCP reviews, progress monitoring, and student support planning.
  • Promoting independence, communication skills, and positive social development.

What We're Looking For
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or significant experience teaching within SEN, inclusion, alternative provision, or specialist settings.
  • Experience supporting students with Autism, SEMH, or additional learning needs.
  • Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills.
  • A patient, resilient, and adaptable approach.
  • Understanding of trauma-informed and therapeutic practice.
  • Commitment to inclusion and ensuring every student can achieve their potential.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
