Industrial Electrician/Tester

About this Position:

We are currently recruiting for 2 x Industrial Electricians to support an ongoing industrial project. This is an immediate start contract, offering consistent hours, overtime opportunities, and weekend work on a rotational basis. The role involves site-based electrical installation, testing and inspection work within an industrial environment.

Job Responsibilities:
 

• Installation, glanding, terminating, and routing of steel wire armoured (SWA) cabling
• Working to electrical drawings, schematics, and site plans
• Carrying out electrical containment and cable management
• Conducting electrical inspection and testing of installations
• Carrying out dead and live testing, continuity, insulation resistance, polarity, earth fault loop impedance and RCD testing as required
• Identifying and rectifying electrical faults and defects
• Completing relevant test certificates and inspection documentation
• Ensuring all installations are tested, safe and compliant prior to handover
• Ensuring all work is completed in line with site health & safety procedures
• Collaborating with other trades and site supervisors to meet project deadlines
• Working 10-hour days, with overtime available and every other weekend worked

Experience Required:
 

• Valid ECS Card (essential)
• 2391 Inspection & Testing qualification (essential)
• Proven experience working as an Industrial Electrician
• Strong hands-on experience with steel armoured cabling (SWA)
• Proven experience carrying out electrical inspection and testing
• Experience completing electrical test certificates and documentation
• Experience working on industrial or heavy engineering sites
• Ability to work long hours and commit to weekend overtime when required
• Strong understanding of electrical safety, inspection, testing and site regulations
