Installations Joiner – Bespoke Cabinetry
Candidates will ideally be based in the West Midlands area, going from home to customers sites as required. You will be supplied with a company van and fuel card and be paid from leaving home to returning home. This role will involve some nights out, all accommodation will be pre-booked and paid for, with an additional night allowance paid, to cover expenses.
Role Overview:
A varied, field-based role involving bespoke furniture installation, site surveying, technical investigations and customer aftercare.
The successful candidate will install bespoke cabinetry, carry out surveys for furniture and curtains, and attend customer sites to investigate and resolve reported issues.
This is a hands-on, customer-facing role requiring excellent communication skills, a professional approach and the ability to work independently and make practical decisions on site.
Key Responsibilities:
* Install bespoke cabinetry, including reception desks, nurses' stations, media units, bars and fitted furniture.
* Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
* Carry out fitting, adjustments and minor modifications on site.
* Conduct accurate site surveys for bespoke cabinetry and curtains.
* Identify site conditions affecting manufacture or installation, including access, dimensions, services and fixing requirements.
* Attend customer complaints to investigate defects and installation issues, completing remedial works where possible.
* Provide clear site reports, photographs and technical feedback to internal teams.
* Ensure all work meets company quality and health and safety standards.
* Represent Shackletons professionally when dealing with customers and contractors.
Key Skills and Experience
* Previous experience in furniture fitting, joinery, cabinetry installation or a similar role.
* Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
* Strong measuring and surveying skills.
* Competent use of hand tools, power tools and measuring equipment.
* Good practical problem-solving and fault-finding skills.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
* Ability to work independently and use initiative.
* Good communication and customer service skills.
* Full UK driving licence.
* CSCS desirable but not essential.

Additional Requirements
- UK-wide travel, averaging two nights away per week.

- Enhanced DBS check will be taken for this role.
What We Offer
- £17.50ph – 40 hours basic per week. (£36,400 Basic Salary)
- Premium overtime rates after 40 hours per week.
