Sellick Partnership are seeking an experienced and proactive Insurance Officer to join a busy and collaborative organisation in Bradford. Reporting to the Insurance Manager, you will play a key role in managing the organisation's insurance programme, handling liability claims, maintaining policy records, and providing specialist insurance advice to stakeholders across the business.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and administer the organisation's insurance portfolio, ensuring adequate and cost-effective cover is maintained.
- Act as the first point of contact for insurance-related queries from internal and external stakeholders.
- Investigate, manage, and coordinate liability and property claims from initial notification through to resolution.
- Liaise with insurers, brokers, loss adjusters, solicitors, and other third parties to ensure claims are progressed efficiently.
- Monitor claims performance and maintain accurate records and databases.
- Prepare insurance renewal information and support annual tender and procurement exercises where required.
- Analyse claims trends and provide recommendations to reduce risk and insurance costs.
- Support the development and implementation of risk management strategies.
- Produce management information, reports, and statistical data relating to insurance and claims activity.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulatory requirements, and organisational policies.
- Deliver guidance and training to managers and employees on insurance-related matters.
- Assist with policy reviews and ensure documentation is maintained and up to date.
Essential Requirements
- Experience working within an insurance, risk management, claims handling, or related environment.
- Knowledge of liability, property, and general insurance principles.
- Experience managing insurance claims and liaising with insurers and brokers.
- Strong investigative and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to interpret policy wording and provide practical advice.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
Desirable Requirements
- Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) qualification or working towards one.
- Experience within the public sector, housing, local government, or a similarly regulated environment.
- Knowledge of risk management frameworks and best practice.
- Experience producing claims analysis and performance reports.
