Integration Test Manager

Uniting Ambition

Integration Test Manager

Our client designs and delivers large-scale, automated material handling solutions for the logistics and warehousing sector — integrating robotics, conveyor systems, controls and software into fully operational sites for major customers across the UK. As the business continues to grow its project pipeline, they're now looking for an experienced Integration Test Manager to own the testing strategy across every stage of the project lifecycle.

The Role

This is a hands-on leadership role spanning both pre-sales and delivery. Early on, you'll work alongside the Sales and Solution Design teams to define contractual test requirements for new automated warehouse proposals, and lead software scope discussions directly with clients. Once an order is won, you'll take ownership of building and executing the full testing plan — covering software and hardware, internal and third-party systems — right through to contractual performance testing and early-life support after customer handover.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Defining and agreeing test requirements with customers during the sales and design phases
  • Building and managing detailed test plans covering the full scope of an integrated automated solution
  • Overseeing the full range of testing activity, including Supplier Quality Checks, Factory Acceptance Tests, Software BETA Testing, Hardware Nodal Testing, Equipment Safety Testing, Sub-System Testing, Customer UATs and Contractual Performance Tests
  • Line-managing a team of Integration Test Engineers, ensuring they're motivated, safe and developed
  • Working closely with customers on-site across the UK during key test periods
  • Driving continuous improvement in test methodology and tooling for automated solutions
  • Supporting technical designers with test data throughout the project

What We're Looking For

  • A graduate in a technical discipline (Engineering, Software, Quality Management, Compliance) or equivalent experience
  • Solid experience within warehouse/logistics automation, with a good understanding of mechanical subsystems, PLC controls and WMS/WCS software
  • Proven people management experience, ideally leading a technical team
  • Confident, adaptable communicator, equally comfortable presenting to customers and working with internal engineering teams
  • Organised, detail-focused and quality-driven, with the ability to prioritise and make balanced decisions independently
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to customer sites, including occasional periods working away

What's On Offer

  • A genuinely varied role spanning pre-sales, project delivery and people leadership
  • The chance to work on complex, high-value automation projects from concept through to live operation
  • Real scope for career progression within a growing engineering organisation
