💷 £26-£31 per hour

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Employee Relations Consultant to join a large public sector organisation on an interim basis. This role will play a key part in delivering high-quality employee relations support across a complex and diverse workforce, providing expert advice on a broad range of employment matters while supporting organisational change projects and employment litigation.
The Role
As an Employee Relations Consultant, you will provide pragmatic, solutions-focused advice to managers on the full spectrum of employee relations issues, helping to ensure that cases are managed fairly, consistently and in line with employment legislation and organisational policies. You will also support major projects involving organisational change, including TUPE transfers, redundancy programmes and collective consultation exercises.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a varied employee relations caseload, providing advice on conduct, capability, attendance management, grievances and Equality Act matters.
- Provide specialist consultancy support on organisational change projects, including TUPE, redundancy and collective consultation processes.
- Lead employment litigation activities, including disclosure, preparation of tribunal bundles, witness preparation and liaison with legal advisors.
- Build strong relationships with line managers, trade union representatives and legal stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes.
- Deliver coaching and training to managers, helping to improve capability and confidence in managing employee relations matters.
- Produce reports, insights and management information to support senior leaders in decision-making.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Proven experience managing a broad and complex employee relations caseload.
- Experience providing employment relations consultancy support on projects and organisational change initiatives.
- Experience working within a unionised environment.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation and employee relations best practice.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Availability to start your next assignment immediately.
