Are you a technically strong finance professional who thrives on solving complex financial challenges, strengthening controls, and driving improvements in a fast-paced environment?

Hightown Housing Association is seeking an experienced Interim Financial Reporting & Technical Accounting Manager to join our Finance team during a critical and exciting period of change. • Provide expert technical accounting advice under FRS 102 and relevant accounting standards
  • Support VAT compliance, reviews and process improvements
  • Play a key role in the successful implementation and embedding of our new finance system
  • Support audit preparation, statutory accounts and regulatory reporting
  • Collaborate closely with senior finance colleagues to mitigate risk and drive continuous improvement

  • Financial reporting and technical accounting
  • Statutory accounts preparation under FRS 102
  • Audit support and regulatory reporting
  • Balance sheet control and reconciliation management
  • Financial controls and governance
  • Advanced Excel and financial analysis

Experience within social housing would be beneficial, but we are equally keen to hear from candidates with strong technical accounting experience from other complex or regulated sectors.

Why Join Hightown?

We offer:

  • Professional development and sector-relevant training opportunities
  • 33 days’ annual leave including Bank Holidays (pro-rata)
  • Competitive salary of £75,000 for a 35-hour week

  • Workplace pension & life assurance (3× salary)
  • Retail, gym, restaurant and cinema discounts
  • Employee wellbeing services
  • Free on-site gym access

We will be shortlisting and interviewing on an ongoing basis and may close the vacancy early.
