Interim FP&A Manager

Axon Moore are supporting a high-growth, private equity-backed business in the appointment of an Interim FP&A Manager. 

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role within the Group Finance function, partnering closely with the CFO to drive strategic financial planning, deliver commercial insight, and support the continued growth of the business.

The key roles and responsibilities for this person will include:

  • Lead the Group's financial planning, budgeting and forecasting processes, including long-term strategic planning and rolling forecasts.
  • Own and develop the Group valuation model, including scenario modelling, sensitivities and analysis of financial risks and opportunities.
  • Build and maintain robust financial models to support strategic decision-making and business growth initiatives.
  • Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts, providing insightful variance analysis and recommendations.
  • Produce cash flow forecasts, covenant reporting and key financial analysis to support business performance.
  • Partner with finance and operational teams across the business to drive informed decision-making and improve forecasting capabilities.
  • Provide commercial insight into profitability, working capital, cash flow and investment opportunities.
  • Lead and support a range of strategic finance projects as the business continues to evolve.
The ideal candidate requirements for this role will include the following:

  • Qualified Finance professional (ACA, ACCA, CFA or equivalent) with a strong academic background.
  • Significant experience within FP&A, and exposure to 3 statement models
  • Advanced financial modelling skills with the ability to build models from first principles.
  • Strong analytical and commercial acumen, with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable business insight.
  • Advanced Excel skills, with experience of ERP systems and financial planning tools.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to influence senior leadership.
  • Experience within a private equity-backed or fast-paced, high-growth environment would be advantageous.
