Interim Service Director: Economy, Property & Regeneration

Marks Consulting Partners are currently recruiting for an Interim Service Director: Economy, Property & Regeneration to work with one of our Local Authority clients in Newcastle.
This is a temporary position paying £800 per day.
What you will be doing:
- Providing strategic leadership across economic development, regeneration, property and strategic asset management.
- Leading and maintaining momentum across a portfolio of major regeneration and investment programmes.
- Strengthening the organisation's approach to property and strategic asset management, including supporting the development of its Strategic Asset Management Plan.
- Driving economic growth, inward investment and business development, working closely with key regional and external partners.
- Providing senior leadership during a period of transition, working closely with Members, senior officers and key stakeholders.
What you will need:
- Significant senior leadership experience within regeneration, economic development, property or strategic asset management.
- Strong experience operating within a Local Authority or comparable public sector environment.
- A track record of leading complex regeneration, property and/or major capital programmes.
- Strong commercial awareness with experience of budgets, investment, funding and programme delivery.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to operate confidently with Members, senior leaders, developers, businesses and external partners.
- A relevant professional qualification and the ability to operate strategically at Head of Service/Director level.
