Internal Sales Engineer in Corby, Northamptonshire

GBR Recruitment Ltd are delighted to be working exclusively with a leading specialist vehicle & specialist plant machinery business, recruiting for an experienced Internal Sales Engineer, to provide technical engineering support (technical drawings, product specifications, weight calculations etc.), plus product support & product range training. 

You will be time served in a Sales Enginneer, Technical Engineer, Inside Sales Engineer, Technical Sales Support Engineer role or a experienced Field Engineer or Workshop Engineer that wants to step into an office based role. 

The ideal engineering professional will come from agriculture machinery, mobile plant machinery, construction machinery, municipal machinery, off highway machinery, forklift trucks, HGV's or similar high capital machinery.  

This position offers the opportunity to work across a vast array of speciaist machinery. 

Duties: 

• Produce technical drawings, product specifications & weight calculations for chassis mounted equipment.
• Liaise with OEMs, chassis manufacturers, bodybuilders & relevant bodybuilder portals to ensure technical specifications & installation requirements are met.
• Proactively supporting the sales team with high capital machinery sales
• Helping to ensure products meet customer specifications & requirements 
• Technical & specification support for all customer orders
• The key technical linchpin between the sales department & the workshop
• Support the sales department with tender bids & proposals ensuring technical specifications are met in full.
• Play a key role in NPD & services solutions for customers
• Develop & maintain strong relationships with 3rd party suppliers including vehicle chassis suppliers & other suppliers of ancillary equipment
• Liaise with internal departments regarding product specifications & pricing
• Carry out product training

Attributes: 

• Degree in engineering, mechanical field or similar
• Experience in similar, technical environment role i.e. plant machinery, agricultural machinery, municipal machinery etc.
• Strong understanding of high-value capital vehicle products
• Used to dealing with OEMs
• Technical drawing experience (AutoCAD)
