Job Title: Internal Sales Executive

Location: Buckingham

Contract Details: Permanent, Full-Time (Office based)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5pm (1 hour lunch)

Salary: £35,000 per annum

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the first point of contact for inbound customer enquiries
  • Qualify enquiries and prepare accurate quotations
  • Proactively follow up quotations to maximise conversion rates
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers
  • Identify and qualify new sales opportunities from inbound and outbound activity
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, including enquiries, quotations and customer interactions
  • Re-engage dormant and lapsed customers to generate new business
  • Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities within existing accounts
  • Provide day-to-day support to customers, ensuring a high level of service and responsiveness
  • Support Key Account Managers by progressing opportunities and providing sales support
  • Assist with sales reporting and pipeline tracking
  • Liaise with internal teams, suppliers and distributors to support customer requirements

Skills and Attributes:

  • Proven experience in an Internal Sales, Sales Support or Business Development role
  • Strong lead generation and opportunity qualification skills
  • Confidence in following up quotations and progressing opportunities through the sales process
  • Excellent telephone communication and relationship-building abilities
  • Ability to identify and create sales opportunities
  • Resilient and comfortable making proactive outbound calls
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Strong written communication skills and attention to detail
  • Self-motivated, proactive and commercially driven mindset

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience within life sciences, scientific, healthcare or technical markets
  • Experience working in a B2B distribution environment
  • Experience supporting field sales teams, Key Account Managers or Account Managers
  • Experience working within an SME or fast-paced commercial environment
  • Degree qualification or educational background in Life Sciences or a related discipline

Technologies:

  • CRM systems (Salesforce, HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics or similar)
  • Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook and Word
