The Opportunity
Are you an experienced Internal Quality Assurer (IQA), Quality Lead, Quality Manager or Team Leader with a background in Health & Social Care Apprenticeships?
This is an excellent opportunity to take a lead role within a growing training provider, supporting a team of Tutors and Assessors while driving quality improvement, teaching, learning and assessment standards across apprenticeship and vocational provision.
You’ll combine IQA responsibilities with team leadership, helping to develop delivery teams, strengthen quality processes and improve learner outcomes.

The Role
As IQA Lead / Team Leader, you will provide quality and operational leadership to a team of Health & Social Care Tutors, ensuring programmes are delivered consistently and in line with apprenticeship standards, awarding organisation requirements and Ofsted expectations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead, support and develop a team of Health & Social Care Tutors and Assessors.
- Carry out Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) activities across apprenticeship provision.
- Monitor the quality of Teaching, Learning and Assessment (TLA).
- Conduct OTLA observations and provide constructive feedback to Tutors.
- Lead standardisation activities to ensure consistency across delivery.
- Hold regular one-to-one meetings and support Tutor performance and development.
- Monitor learner progress, achievement, retention and quality indicators.
- Identify quality issues and implement appropriate improvement actions.
- Ensure assessment and delivery comply with apprenticeship standards and awarding organisation requirements.
- Maintain accurate IQA, quality and compliance documentation.
- Support continuous improvement across Health & Social Care programmes.
- Contribute to strong learner outcomes and employer satisfaction.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for an experienced IQA / Quality professional who is confident leading people and understands the requirements of Health & Social Care Apprenticeships and vocational education.
You will ideally have:
- Previous experience as an IQA, Internal Quality Assurer, Quality Lead, Quality Manager, Curriculum Lead or Team Leader.
- Experience managing, mentoring or supporting Tutors and/or Assessors.
- An IQA/Internal Verification qualification such as IQA, V1, D34 or equivalent.
- An Assessor qualification such as TAQA, A1, CAVA or equivalent.
- A recognised teaching qualification.
- Level 4 or Level 5 qualification in Health & Social Care.
- Functional Skills Level 2 or equivalent in English and Maths.
- Strong knowledge of Health & Social Care Apprenticeship Standards.
- Experience with Ofsted's Education Inspection Framework (EIF).
- Experience conducting OTLA, standardisation and quality assurance activities.
- Strong understanding of Teaching, Learning and Assessment within apprenticeships.
- Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
- A genuine commitment to quality improvement and positive learner outcomes.
