This long-term placement pays on the Main Pay Scale (MPS) and is ideal for an educator who excels in Year 1 or Year 2 classroom management. Should you prefer immediate flexibility or be open to cover work while long-term arrangements settle, we also offer a competitive daily supply rate of £120 - £160 per day. Core Responsibilities

In your role as a Key Stage 1 teacher, you will lead your class through key developmental milestones:

• Curriculum Execution: Deliver engaging, child-centred lessons aligned with Year 1 and Year 2 National Curriculum goals.
• Phonics & Early Reading: Lead daily phonics sessions (e.g., Little Wandle, Read Write Inc.) to build literacy fluency in Chester.
• Progress Tracking: Conduct regular formative assessments in maths and writing to inform differentiated lesson planning.
• Classroom Environment: Maintain a safe, structured, and vibrant learning climate within a supportive school in Chester.

Candidate Profile

• Holds UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognized teaching credential.
• Demonstrable track record serving as a Key Stage 1 teacher across Year 1 or Year 2.
• A strong dedication to personal growth and continuous professional education and training.
• An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or a willingness to process a new one through Academics).
