Salary: £40,372–£59,864 per year, M1–UPS3
Contract: Full-time, long-term temporary

A warm and well-led primary school in Bexley is seeking a dedicated KS1 Teacher for a long-term role. Pupils are encouraged to be curious, kind and ambitious, and the school would like to appoint a teacher who can make core learning accessible, memorable and enjoyable.

This KS1 Teacher opportunity offers supportive phase leadership, shared resources and regular opportunities to collaborate. You will take responsibility for planning, teaching and assessing a class while working closely with support staff and families.

Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging lessons across the KS1 curriculum
  • Teach systematic phonics and develop confident early readers
  • Use assessment to plan appropriate support and challenge
  • Establish positive routines and high expectations for behaviour
  • Differentiate effectively for SEND and varied starting points
  • Communicate progress clearly with colleagues and parents or carers

The successful KS1 Teacher will have:

  • UK QTS
  • Recent and successful KS1 teaching experience
  • Secure curriculum, phonics and assessment knowledge
  • Strong classroom management and an inclusive approach
  • The right to work in the UK
