KS1 Teaching Assistant – Harrow

Location: Harrow, London
Pay: £90–£100 per day
Contract: Full Time, Temporary
Start Date: September 2026

Teach Now is looking for a warm, enthusiastic KS1 Teaching Assistant to support pupils during the important early stages of their primary education.

Working within a primary school in Harrow, you will help children develop their early literacy, numeracy, communication and learning skills while supporting the class teacher in creating an engaging and positive classroom.

The Role
  • Support pupils throughout KS1 lessons and activities.
  • Work with individuals and small groups who need additional help.
  • Reinforce phonics, early reading, writing and number skills.
  • Prepare classroom resources and support learning activities.
  • Encourage children to become confident and independent learners.
  • Provide additional support for pupils with SEN where appropriate.
  • Help maintain positive behaviour and classroom routines.
What We’re Looking For
  • Previous experience working with children in a school, nursery or educational setting.
  • Understanding of KS1 learning and development.
  • Phonics experience would be particularly valuable.
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills.
  • A patient, enthusiastic and nurturing approach.
  • Relevant Level 2 or Level 3 qualification desirable.
  • Enhanced DBS and right to work in the UK.
