Position: KS2 Teaching Assistant
Contract Type: Full-time, long-term temporary

Location: Enfield, London, UK
Salary: £90–£100 per day

Salary is dependent on experience, qualifications and the requirements of the school. Higher rates are reserved for candidates with substantial classroom experience or a recognised Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.

About the Role

Teach Now is recruiting a confident and enthusiastic KS2 Teaching Assistant for a welcoming primary school in Enfield.

Starting in September, the successful KS2 Teaching Assistant will work alongside class teachers to support pupils across Key Stage 2. The role will include providing targeted support in English and mathematics, helping pupils remain engaged during lessons and delivering small-group interventions.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant who enjoys working with junior-aged pupils and wants to become part of a supportive school community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting teaching and learning across Key Stage 2
  • Delivering individual and small-group interventions
  • Helping pupils develop confidence in English and mathematics
  • Adapting activities for pupils with different learning needs
  • Supporting positive behaviour and classroom routines
  • Preparing resources and contributing to pupil observations
  • Working closely with teachers, the SENCO and support staff
Requirements

Applicants must have:

  • Recent experience supporting primary-aged children
  • A good understanding of the KS2 curriculum
  • Confident literacy and numeracy skills
  • Strong communication and behaviour-management skills
  • The ability to build positive relationships with pupils
  • A clear commitment to safeguarding and pupil welfare
  • The right to work in the UK

A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable.
