The Company

Our client is a specialist manufacturing business producing small precision components and assemblies within a controlled production environment.

The Role

The position will involve carrying out a range of laboratory and production processes involving small precision components.

The role includes working with chemicals and following strict Health & Safety and COSHH procedures. Previous chemical handling experience is preferred but not essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Cleaning small precision components and assemblies.
• Testing components and assemblies.
• Carrying out etching processes.
• Handling chemicals safely.
• Handling bulk materials up to approximately 25 kg where required.
• Following Health & Safety and COSHH procedures.
• Following production procedures and work instructions.
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
• Supporting general laboratory and production activities.

Skills & Experience

• Previous production or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Chemical handling experience beneficial.
• Cleaning, testing or etching experience beneficial.
• Comfortable working with chemicals.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good manual dexterity.
• Able to follow procedures accurately.
• Comfortable working within a small team.

Package

• 23,132 to £25,025 per year.
• 35 hours per week.
• Monday to Friday day shifts.
• 20 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays.
• 3.5% employer pension contribution.
• Occasional overtime may be available.

Additional Requirements

The successful candidate will be required to pass a basic DBS check and meet relevant security requirements.
