Salary:
£13.12 per hour.
Laboratory Assistant Role:
- Prepare all the samples for the food sciences lab.
- Responsible for laboratory administration tasks and housekeeping activities.
- Assist with routine checks/calibrations and control documentation.
- Assigning analytical tests, allocating samples for analysis and maintaining chain-of-custody.
- Input of test results and liaising with clients as needed.
- Hold a qualification in a relevant scientific subject (it does not have to be a degree) or have equivalent working experience.
- Experience with basic lab equipment
- Good attention to detail
- Accountability, honesty, hardworking, flexibility and adaptability, and working efficiently in a team
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organisational skills
