Land Surveyor

Abatec is looking to recruit a Graduate or Junior Land Surveyor to join a growing civil engineering & marine contractor.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the early stages of their career - whether a recent graduate or with up to 1-3 years’ experience - to develop within a dynamic and supportive environment, working across a diverse portfolio of projects in challenging and rewarding locations.

This is a varied and hands-on position, supporting both in-house survey and construction teams. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality survey services, both on-site and in-office, while developing your technical skills and maintaining a strong commitment to safety and precision.

As Land Surveyor, you will:

• Carry out land and topographic surveys using a range of specialist equipment
• Collecting and processing survey data (training provided where required)
• Producing accurate site records and deliverables
• Ensure all equipment is calibrated, maintained, and used correctly
• Analyse survey data before handover
• Provide technical input and advice where needed
• Work across site, office, and workshop environments as required

Our client requires a Land Surveyor with:

• Degree, HNC/HND, or equivalent in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field or up to 1-3 years’ experience in a similar role
• Basic understanding of land surveying principles
• Full UK driving licence
• Eligibility to work in the UK
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Willingness to work outdoors, travel, and stay away from home when required
• Commitment to health and safety practices

Salary/Benefits:

• £28,000 – £35,000
