Large Turner

Rubicon Recruitment

Large CNC Turner | Lymington | DOE

You'll be trusted with large, high precision components across oil and gas, aerospace and defence work.
This is a role where your setting and programming skills are relied on daily, not just ticked off a checklist.
If you know your way around Mazak and Fanuc controls, this is where that experience gets put to proper use.

As a Large CNC Turner, you will benefit from:

  • Genuine autonomy once you're up to speed on the machines
  • Career progression within an established, growing engineering business
  • The chance to mentor and pass on your expertise to less experienced machinists
  • Supportive, hands-off management once trust is built

As a Large CNC Turner, your responsibilities will include:

  • Programme, set and operate CNC lathes, reading and editing programs
  • Operate large CNC turning machines to produce components to specified tolerances
  • Interpret technical drawings with a strong understanding of geometric dimensions and tolerances
  • Follow set-up sheets and job card instructions precisely on every job
  • Uphold quality and safety standards at all times
  • Mentor and coach less experienced machinists in large turning operations

As a Large CNC Turner, your experience will include:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience working with large components in a high precision manufacturing environment
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience operating Mazak and/or Fanuc controls
  • Experience working to engineering drawings and job cards
  • Wide ranging manufacturing process knowledge across differing materials
  • Completed a recognised apprenticeship in mechanical engineering

If you're looking for a large CNC Turner role where your skills are genuinely valued and there's real room to grow, this could be the next step. Apply today with an up-to-date CV or call Ella Deeley at Rubicon for more information.
