Take Ownership of a Prestigious Commercial Site in London
We are seeking an experienced Shift Lead Engineer (either Electrical or Mechanical biased) to join a dedicated 2-person shift team maintaining a high-end, static commercial building in Victoria.
Key Responsibilities
PPM & Reactive Maintenance: Carry out all planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and rapid reactive repairs across site in line with client SLAs.
Shift Leadership: Operate as part of a 2-person shift team, managing site operations during cover windows and acting as the primary point of contact for technical escalation.
Electrical Systems Maintenance: Conduct fault-finding, diagnostics, and repairs on single and three-phase power systems, distribution boards, control panels, circuits, and emergency lighting systems.
HVAC & Mechanical Plant: Provide expert diagnostics and repair on HVAC plant, including Air Handling Units (AHUs), Fan Coil Units (FCUs), VRV/VRF systems, split units, pumps, motors, and ventilation.
General Building Services: Undertake basic fabric, plumbing, and mechanical repairs to keep the building operating seamlessly.
Sub-Contractor Management: Supervise and sign off specialist sub-contractors on-site for key specialist services (e.g., lifts, fire & life safety systems).
Compliance & Site Records: Ensure all logbooks, statutory compliance documentation, and shift handovers are accurate and up to date.
Requirements
For Electrical-Biased Candidates:
NVQ Level 3 / C&G Level 3 in Electrical Installations (or equivalent apprenticeship).
BS7671 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations.
Strong background in commercial building services maintenance and mechanical awareness.
For Mechanical-Biased Candidates:
NVQ Level 3 / C&G Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering, Heating & Ventilation, or Plumbing (or equivalent apprenticeship).
F-Gas 2079 (desirable).Proven track record in commercial HVAC maintenance with strong cross-trade electrical fault-finding capabilities.
