We are seeking a temporary Leadership Development Coach to work with our defence sector client to support a leadership development programme. The successful candidate plays a key role in supporting our client’s commitment to developing high-performing leaders across the business unit. The primary focus of the role is to coach leaders globally to build confidence and capability in delivering effective performance management conversations that drive engagement, accountability, talent development and performance.
Working closely with the Global People Development team and HR colleagues, the post holder will design, deliver and continuously improve targeted coaching interventions that enable leaders to adopt best practice in performance management within a short timeframe. The role combines individual coaching, group facilitation, learning design and stakeholder engagement to ensure leaders are equipped to have meaningful, constructive and impactful conversations with their teams.
This role will be until the end of January 2027, working on a hybrid basis of at least 2 days on site and some global travel.
Key areas of responsibility
Deliver one-to-one and small group coaching sessions for leaders across the company’s global businesses aligned to key principles.
Coach leaders to conduct effective performance management conversations, including setting expectations, providing constructive feedback, recognising performance and addressing underperformance.
Support leaders in developing confidence, emotional intelligence and coaching skills that improve team performance.
Adapt coaching approaches to different leadership levels, cultures and business environments.
Develop engaging learning materials, toolkits, guides and supporting resources.
Contribute ideas for continuous improvement based on participant feedback and organisational needs.
Build effective relationships with HR Business Partners, senior leaders and local learning teams.
Skills and Experience
Professional experience in leadership development, executive coaching or organisational development.
Demonstrable experience coaching managers and senior leaders.
Strong understanding of effective performance management practices and feedback methodologies.
Experience designing and facilitating leadership development programmes.
Excellent facilitation and presentation skills for both virtual and face-to-face delivery.
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build credibility quickly.
Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
Experience working within a global or matrix organisation.
High levels of cultural awareness and adaptability.

Desirable
Accredited coaching qualification (e.g. ICF, EMCC or equivalent).
Experience supporting organisational change and leadership transformation.
Knowledge of adult learning principles and learning design.
Experience using digital learning platforms and virtual facilitation technologies.
Additional language skills would be advantageous i.e. French
