Five Education are looking for a dedicated, patient, and caring Learning Support Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil at a friendly and inclusive primary school in Salisbury from September. The school has a welcoming team, excellent resources, and a strong commitment to supporting every child to achieve their potential, making it a rewarding place to work.
In this role, you will provide personalised support to help a pupil access learning, develop confidence, and feel secure throughout the school day. You'll work closely with teaching staff to create a positive and supportive learning experience. While full-time availability is preferred, the school is open to considering part-time applicants.
Main Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored one-to-one support that meets the pupil's academic, social, and emotional needs.
- Develop a positive and trusting relationship that encourages confidence, independence, and progress.
- Work collaboratively with the class teacher and SENDCo to implement individual support strategies and behaviour plans.
- Promote the pupil's wellbeing by ensuring they feel safe, included, and encouraged in the classroom.
- Help maintain a nurturing, inclusive learning environment where every child has the opportunity to succeed.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) or within a similar education or care setting.
- A calm, compassionate, and adaptable approach to supporting children's learning and wellbeing.
- A genuine commitment to providing high-quality, pupil-centred support.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively alongside teachers, support staff, and parents/carers.
Essential requirements:
Right to work in the UK - we are unable to offer Sponsorship or accept Skilled Worker visas.
Able to provide two recent references (from the last two years).
Hold a current DBS check registered on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one*
*Please note, if you do not have a Non-Voluntary Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, we will need to help you process a new one at a cost of £62.70. This will be refunded after 20 days of work with us.

Pay: Five Education operates a PAYE payroll; this is the most transparent way to be paid with no hidden fees such as admin fee or employer's NI. Please note pay rate is for illustration and does include holiday pay.

Successful applicants will be required to undergo checks including reference checks, TRA checks and will need to have a DBS; there will also be an interview.
