Learning Support Assistant

Prospero Teaching are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a welcoming and supportive school in Clacton-on-Sea, starting in September. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about helping pupils overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential within a positive and inclusive educational environment.

The school is looking for a caring and committed individual with strong communication skills, effective behaviour management strategies, and a genuine desire to support children's academic, social, and emotional development.

📌 CONTRACT DETAILS

• Location - Clacton-on-Sea
• Position - Learning Support Assistant (LSA)
• Type of work - Classroom and individual pupil support
• Start date - September
• Duration - Ongoing / Long-term
• Full time/part-time - Full time
• Rate of pay - £90-£100 per day (depending on experience)
• Hours - 08:30am - 15:45pm

📚 EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience working with children in a school, childcare, youth work, or similar setting (placements accepted)
• Experience supporting pupils with additional learning needs is desirable
• Relevant LSA, Teaching Assistant, Childcare, or Education qualifications are advantageous
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Up-to-date Safeguarding training issued within the last year (desirable)

✔️ TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one
• Provide two professional child-related references
