Location: Rotherham
Salary: £33,487 (Non-QTS) to £38,487 (QTS) per annum + benefits
Hours: Full Time, 37 hours per week, all year round
Contract: Permanent
About the Role
Morgan Jones is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of our client for a Lecturer in Brickwork.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Bricklayer, Assessor, Trainer or Lecturer looking to pass on their industry expertise and help shape the future workforce. Whether you are currently working on-site and seeking a new challenge, or already working within education, this role offers the chance to make a genuine impact on learners' lives and careers.
You will deliver engaging and practical training across Level 1-3 programmes, adult learning courses and apprenticeships, supporting learners to develop the technical skills, confidence and professional behaviours required for success within the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment in Brickwork
- Support and motivate learners to achieve their goals
- Develop engaging learning materials and practical activities
- Monitor student progress and implement support where required
- Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve departmental targets
- Maintain accurate records and comply with awarding body requirements
- Promote positive learner behaviour, attendance and achievement
About You
To be successful, you will have:
- A Level 3 qualification in Brickwork or equivalent
- Industry experience within the construction sector
- A teaching qualification and Assessor Award, or willingness to work towards them
- Level 2 English and Maths, or commitment to achieve
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A passion for developing future construction professionals
