We are looking for an experienced Legal Assistant to join a well-established law firm in Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous criminal law experience to provide legal and administrative support to a busy team.

Legal Assistant Responsibilities:

• Supporting solicitors and fee earners with criminal law matters
• Preparing legal correspondence, court bundles and case documents
• Managing diaries, hearings, prison visits and key deadlines
• Liaising with clients, courts, police stations and barristers
• Maintaining case files and ensuring Legal Aid and GDPR compliance

Essential Skills:

• Previous experience within Criminal Law is essential
• Police Station Accreditation is highly advantageous
• Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and case management systems
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail
• Professional communication and outstanding client care skills
