Legal Contracts Advisor in Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire

Our client, a dynamic and rapidly growing organisation in the Construction & Real Estate sector, is seeking an enthusiastic and driven Legal Contracts Advisor. This permanent role is based in Hoddesdon and presents an exciting opportunity for a skilled Contracts Negotiator to make a significant impact within the Finance and Business Management Department. Our client is offering a flexible work pattern of 20 - 25 hours per week with hybrid working after probation.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Legal Contracts Advisor, you will play a vital role in the organisation by:

• Evaluating and negotiating contractual agreements with clients and suppliers to ensure optimal terms before any contractual relationship begins.
• Recording and tracking the review stages and status of all client and supplier contracts through a CRM system and Approved Supplier Log until final sign-off is achieved.
• Conducting thorough reviews and negotiations of contracts, utilising track changes and comments to maintain an accurate audit trail.
• Ensuring compliance with company policy requirements for all approved suppliers.
• Communicating commercial and operational contractual obligations to Project Consultants and Project Management teams for seamless project execution.
• Filing all documentation related to client and supplier contracts in a centralised Information Management System.
• Collaborating with key internal stakeholders and clients to prepare and finalise contracts, ensuring all documents are ready for signature.
• Liaising with the legal team for guidance and escalation when necessary.
• Coordinating with the Insurance Broker regarding coverage information and collateral warranty reviews as required.
• Working closely with senior management to resolve any disputes or complaints that may arise with clients or suppliers.
• Managing the completion and submission of Pre-Qualification Questionnaires (PQQ's) to maintain the organisation's presence on existing client supply chains.

Key Qualifications and Skills:

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A law degree is essential.
• Experience in the construction industry is advantageous.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a methodical approach to tasks.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in proof-reading and touch-typing.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office.
• A collaborative spirit, with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
