Weβre looking for an experienced LifecycleΒ Project Manager to join an established Project Management team, overseeing the delivery of variations, lifecycle works and small-to-medium projects across a large and complex healthcare estate in Birmingham.

π₯ This is a key opportunity for a commercially aware Project Manager with experience in healthcare, Facilities Management or construction, who is confident managing projects within a live, highly regulated environment where patient and building-user disruption must be kept to a minimum.
The successful candidate will take ownership of projects from initial concept and scope through to completion, snagging and close-out, with responsibility for project P&L, programme, risk, Health & Safety and stakeholder management.
π§ What Youβll Be Doing:
π Taking full responsibility for the successful delivery of variations, lifecycle and small works projects from inception through to completion.
π· Managing project P&L, budgets, margins, payment applications, change control and overall financial performance.
π Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the required commercial and quality standards.
π€ Building and maintaining strong working relationships with key stakeholders, including client representatives, operational teams, contractors and suppliers.
π· Managing contractors, suppliers and multidisciplinary project teams to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and professionally.
β οΈ Identifying, managing and mitigating project risks, ensuring project plans remain accurate and up to date.
ποΈ Coordinating all project stages, including initial requests, scoping, design, procurement, delivery, snagging, defects and final close-out.
π Reviewing and commenting on designs, specifications, drawings and tender documentation where required.
π Ensuring all projects comply with contractual, statutory, CDM, Health & Safety and relevant regulatory requirements.
π¦Ί Monitoring contractor performance, workmanship and working practices, with particular focus on Health & Safety.
π’ Working closely with Technical Services and Estates Maintenance teams to coordinate project delivery and operational requirements.
π¨ Planning works carefully to ensure minimal disruption to patients, staff, visitors and other building users.
π Monitoring project performance against budget, programme and agreed targets, providing regular updates to senior management.
π Ensuring snagging, defects and outstanding works are effectively managed and closed out within agreed timescales.
βοΈ Supporting the wider operational and project teams to maintain strong service delivery across the estate.
π¨βπΌ What Weβre Looking For:
π HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in a building, engineering or relevant technical discipline.
π₯ Proven Project Management experience, ideally within a healthcare, FM or construction environment.
ποΈ Experience managing small works, capital works, lifecycle projects or variations across a large and complex estate.
π· Strong commercial awareness, including experience managing project finances, budgets, supplier contracts and financial performance.
π§ Good understanding of building and engineering services, construction and estates-related works.
π Strong knowledge of CDM Regulations, Health & Safety legislation and relevant statutory requirements.
π· Proven experience managing contractors, suppliers and multidisciplinary teams.
π€ Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work confidently with both operational and senior stakeholders.
π Strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities.
π» IT literate, with good knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel and project/CAFM or estates management systems.
π§ Self-motivated and able to work independently, while also contributing effectively as part of a wider team.
πΌ Comfortable working within a commercial and KPI-driven environment.
β Desirable:
βοΈ Previous experience working within a healthcare environment.
βοΈ Experience managing projects within a live hospital or healthcare estate.
βοΈ Experience delivering capital works and lifecycle projects across a complex estate.
βοΈ Strong understanding of building regulations, fire regulations, planning requirements and British Standards.
βοΈ Experience with risk management and Health & Safety.
βοΈ Experience managing supplier contracts, payment applications, invoicing and change control.
βοΈ Knowledge of CAFM, estates or project management systems.
βοΈ Minimum 3 yearsβ post-qualification experience.
