Summary:

We’re looking for an experienced Lightning Protection Engineer to join our growing team. You’ll install, test, inspect, and maintain lightning protection and earthing systems across commercial, industrial, and residential sites, working to BS EN 62305 standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Install lightning protection systems in accordance with BS EN 62305 and relevant specifications.
  • Carry out testing, inspection, and certification of lightning protection and earthing systems.
  • Perform remedial works on failed or non-compliant systems.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and site documents.
  • Complete detailed site reports, test results, and compliance documentation.
  • Liaise professionally with clients, contractors, and site managers.
  • Work safely on roofs, ladders, scaffolding, and MEWPs in accordance with Health & Safety guidelines.
  • Travel to multiple sites, including occasional overnight stays depending on workload.

What you need:


  • Proven experience as a Lightning Protection Engineer or similar field-based engineering role.
  • Strong understanding of BS EN 62305 and earthing/bonding principles.
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Lightning Protection or Electrical Installation (preferred).
  • CSCS/ECS card (preferred).
  • Comfortable working at height and in various site environments.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
