Salary: £28,000–£32,000
Location: High Wycombe
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm
Contract: Permanent
This is a great opportunity to join an established UK engineering business in a busy and varied operations role.
You’ll be responsible for coordinating weekly logistics schedules, arranging deliveries for upcoming projects and making sure all stock, dispatch and collection records are accurate and up to date.
This would be a great opportunity for someone looking to build their career within logistics and operations. You’ll need to be organised, confident speaking with different teams and happy to work closely with production, popping into the production area as and when needed to keep everything running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities of the Logistics Coordinator:
- Prepare and maintain weekly logistics schedules.
- Make sure all relevant site and delivery information is obtained and clearly communicated.
- Coordinate with Production Supervisors to schedule and confirm project deliveries.
- Check that goods are completed and ready for dispatch in line with project deadlines.
- Liaise with the Scheduling, Operations and Supply teams regarding upcoming deliveries.
- Prepare and coordinate dispatch notes and delivery requirements.
- Book couriers and arrange goods collections.
- Maintain accurate stock, dispatch and collection records.
- Ensure all collections and deliveries are managed in line with company procedures.
- Support the wider operations team with hands-on tasks when required.
Requirements of the Logistics Coordinator:
- Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
- The ability to manage several tasks and deadlines at the same time.
- Confident communication skills, both over the phone and by email.
- A proactive and enthusiastic approach.
- Comfortable working closely with production, operations and supply teams.
- Willingness to spend time on the shop floor and support the wider team.
- Previous experience within logistics, scheduling, dispatch, stock control or operations would be beneficial.
- Good general IT and administration skills.
