The RoleYou'll join our European Inspection Services team, taking ownership of all equipment logistics for our pan-European pilots and technicians. This is an office-based, hands-on role where you'll configure, maintain, document, and track our advanced robotics fleet. Working closely with project managers, compliance, and our US logistics counterpart, you'll adapt to ever-changing project schedules and be the go-to person for everything from urgent customs fixes to statutory equipment inspections.
Key Responsibilities- Review project schedules in advance, shipping drone and rover equipment between depots and pilots to meet precise deployment needs.
- React swiftly to last-minute schedule changes, re-routing assets to keep operations running smoothly.
- Prepare and scrutinise all shipping documentation, including carnets, T1/T2 transit documents, customs paperwork, and dangerous goods declarations for lithium batteries.
- Track shipments, troubleshoot customs delays, and resolve errors to minimise disruption to field teams.
- Procure new equipment and parts, assemble and maintain drones, crawlers, cameras, and PPE to engineering guidelines.
- Perform statutory inspections of PPE to ensure LOLER compliance and manage L2/L3 servicing with third-party suppliers.
- Monitor the regional logistics budget, report on costs, and identify efficiencies to improve project margins.
Essential:
- At least 3 years' experience coordinating asset logistics for a field service organisation, with constant movement of tooling and equipment via parcel shipping.
- Proven experience with UK/EU import/export procedures, carnets, and T1/T2 documentation.
- Hands-on knowledge of shipping lithium batteries in compliance with IATA/IMDG regulations.
- Practical experience maintaining and tracking field service equipment, robotics, drones, ROVs, or similar inspection technology.
- Proficiency with courier systems (UPS, DHL, etc.), logistics documentation, and KPIs.
- Strong analytical, communication, and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands independently.
Desirable:
- Ability to speak Spanish or German in addition to fluent English.
- A full UK driving licence for occasional ad-hoc equipment transportation.
- Salary of £28,000 to £34,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
- Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm working hours.
- Occasional opportunities for travel within Europe.
