Coventry
Up to £70,000 plus car/car allowance, 33 days holiday (including bank holidays), pension, bonus, life assurance, employee assistance programme, wellbeing support, and flexible benefits including cycle to work scheme

About the Role
Unipart Manufacturing is launching a flagship, fast-paced manufacturing project in Coventry, combining high-volume electrification assembly with complex injection moulding inputs.  Fully aligned with Unipart’s Sector and Growth Strategy and The Unipart Way Forward Plan, this strategic project will scale rapidly from zero to over 200 total site employees within a 16-week window.   We are seeking a high-calibre Logistics Manager to architect and manage end-to-end site supply chain operations. Reporting to the General Manager, you will establish showcase inbound/outbound logistics, build robust pull systems, and drive world-class material control in a demanding manufacturing environment.

As part of your key responsibilities you’ll focus on:
Supply Chain and Material Control - Oversee line management across inbound logistics, production planning, material expediting, and outbound shipping
JIT and Pull System Execution - Implement and sustain Lean pull systems, line-side replenishment, and constraint management to ensure seamless manufacturing delivery
Inventory and Cost Optimisation - Drive inventory accuracy, maximise inventory turns, minimise stock values, and support logistics cost estimations for scale-up milestones
Culture and The Unipart Way - Establish best-in-class, ‘showcase’ logistics operations by embedding Unipart Way tools, standardised work, continuous improvement, and visual communication cells
Health, Safety, and Compliance - Maintain stringent SHE standards across all warehouse and material handling environments while managing supplier and customer logistics interfaces
Change Management - This is a fast-paced, evolving project where your scope will grow alongside the initiative itself - while core deliverables are clear, flexibility is key - you’ll have the opportunity to shape processes, adapt to changing priorities, and directly influence the project's direction as it unfolds

About You
We’d love you to have the following skills and experience, but please apply if you think you’d be able to perform well in this role!
Logistics Leadership Experience - Proven track record as a Logistics Manager or Supply Chain Manager within high-volume automotive, industrial, or fast-paced JIT manufacturing environments
Lean and Pull Systems - Demonstrable experience successfully implementing and sustaining material pull systems, Kanban, and line-side supply architectures
Systems Expertise - Strong command of MRP/ERP software, production scheduling techniques, and material control systems
Project and Team Leadership - Track record of managing logistics projects, driving supplier performance, and leading high-performing warehousing/planning teams
Strategic Vision - Driven individual looking to shape an operation with potential to evolve into a standalone business unit
