Lunchtime supervisor

Hours: 1.5–2 hours per day, Monday to Friday (Term Time Only)
Contract: Temporary with the potential for long-term opportunities

The Supply Register is recruiting Lunchtime Supervisors to work across our partner schools and Multi-Academy Trusts throughout Birmingham.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and wants to play an important role in ensuring pupils have a safe, happy and enjoyable lunchtime.
The RoleAs a Lunchtime Supervisor, you will:

Supervise pupils during the lunchtime period, both indoors and outdoors.

Encourage positive behaviour and promote a safe, inclusive environment.

Support pupils while they are eating and encourage good table manners.

Assist with playground supervision and help organise activities where appropriate.

Deal with minor incidents and report any concerns to school staff.

Ensure the welfare and safeguarding of all pupils at all times.

Work as part of the wider school team to provide a positive lunchtime experience.

Experience working with children is desirable but not essential.

A caring, patient and approachable nature.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Reliable, punctual and able to work independently.

A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
As this role is within a school, successful applicants must be able to:
-
Provide a full employment history covering the last 24 months.
-
Provide a minimum of two employment references (three if you have not previously worked with children).
-
Complete an Employment History Form covering every month from leaving full-time education.

Provide character references where required to cover any gaps in employment.

Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one.

Provide proof of right to work in the UK.

Provide two proofs of address, proof of National Insurance and any relevant name change documentation.

Provide an overseas police check if you have lived outside the UK for more than six months.

Complete our free mandatory safeguarding and compliance training.
