Lunchtime Supervisor

Lunchtime Cover Supervisor in a Primary School - 11:30am-1:30pm (10 hours a week; School term-time only)

Location: Finchley, N12

Pay: £14.90-17 hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 11:30am – 1:30pm (Term Time Only)
Start Date: September 2026

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Supervise children during lunchtime in the dining hall, classrooms, and playground to ensure their safety and wellbeing.
• Encourage positive play, inclusion, and good behaviour while supporting children in building social skills.
• Oversee the safe movement of pupils between dining and play areas.
• Assist in the dining hall by cleaning tables, ensuring spillages are dealt with promptly, and keeping the environment safe and hygienic.
• Support pupils with clearing trays, putting away cutlery, and promoting independence.
• Manage minor incidents, applying the school’s behaviour and safeguarding policies consistently.
• Provide basic first aid and report any concerns to senior staff.
• Work collaboratively with other lunchtime staff to maintain a safe, happy, and inclusive environment.

Requirements:

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (essential).
• Experience of working with children in a school or similar setting (desirable).
• Ability to communicate effectively with pupils and staff.
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to safeguarding children.
